Should spam posts be voted to be closed or flagged?

I think that flagging for removal of spam is the better solution to avoid polluting our reputation with crawlers and bad links, rather than persisting closed questions with the spammy links.

I do both, because our site is small and I don't know who's going to get around to it first. Once you flag it, it's in the mod queue regardless of the open/close status. Voting to close can close the ...
